Commercial insurance

Check your plan and clinician.

ThisLife Counseling accepts most commercial insurance plans. Network participation can differ by clinician, service, and the specific plan you hold; an insurer’s name alone does not establish coverage.

After applicable deductible requirements have been met, many clients pay only their plan’s copay for covered appointments. Some plans use coinsurance or other cost-sharing. Your insurer determines benefits and final responsibility.

Employee Assistance Plans

Ask about EAP benefits.

We accept many EAPs. Authorized sessions are often available at no cost to the client for the approved number of visits. Confirm eligibility, authorization, session limits, and clinician participation with your EAP before scheduling.

Before your first appointment

  1. Ask the practice whether your intended clinician participates in your exact plan and offers the service you need.
  2. Ask your insurer about your remaining deductible, copay or coinsurance, authorization requirements, and telehealth benefits if applicable.
  3. If using an EAP, obtain any required authorization and confirm the number of covered sessions.
  4. Confirm the expected fee and appointment length with the practice. Benefits verification is not a guarantee of payment.

Bring your insurance card to your appointment or follow the practice’s instructions for providing it securely. Please do not enter detailed medical or insurance records into the website assistant.
